Mr. Blount, Your leadership position & explanation exemplify a quality of character that, imo, places the arrows of discontent directly where they belong: pointed at the source. On the ground. I urge all who are paying attention to speak up, yea or nay.

My impression is that we may not ever see a better or more open representative; he, like all of us, need to know he is appreciated. I simple

Thank you Paul! Means more than you know. Simply trying to do this job is the most simple, open, and honest way possible! Our entire Government needs that same kind of overhaul and then those elected officials can actually work for the benefit of the people! Again, I really appreciate the encouragement. We don’t get a whole lot of that, so it is fuel to the tank!

Thanks so much for your update! I truly appreciate your brand of leadership, and have

respect for your ability to lead the council with integrity! I do appreciate also, your

willingness to confront any accusations sent your way.....that is always helpful when

other information is presented. That said, I continue to find your newsletters informative, and open minded. I am very grateful for your willingness to serve as Committee Chair! We are very fortunate to have you!!!

Benton, Thanks for the much needed leadership on the Council. The challenge will be keeping the group focused and not trying to be "Lone Rangers"

Two comments. I saw a proposal to eliminate cluster subdivisions by repealing Article 11 of the LDRs. Note that in the last Planning Commission meeting there was much debate on what the zoning ordinance says about Open Space Subdivisions (clusters). It appears that repeal of only Article 11 will not achieve the intent to eliminate clusters. Tables 7.1 and 7.2 of the zoning ordinance would still be in affect and it appears that clusters could be implemented in zoned areas with little limitations other than the amount of open space.

The second question is, it is not clear where the additional revenue growth from organic growth is accounted for? In the past revenue has increased between 8 and 11% each year due to growth. In general this could be between $20 and $30 million. I understand salaries and benefits represent about 70% of county expenses and little manpower increases are planned, there might be an opportunity to increase the roads and infrastructure budget line item with the revenue growth.

Consider insisting the budget be zero based so you can see where the money goes and have some control after approval.
