Your updates truly help the citizens of this county understand the intricacies of how our County Council works and all they deal with....things that I have not fully understood before. On the whole, it was a good budget. As you said compromise is the necessary ingredient for our system of government to work. I hope next year we can restore the money for conservation and affordable housing. The high growth rate we are experiencing is creating urgency on both issues. There is a finite amount of property that is available for either purpose, and if we are not prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that arise, we lose those opportunities for good.
